COVID19 Action Plan

  • Classroom capacity of 10 children per group.
  • Social distancing when feasible.
  • Daily health screening for every staff and student before entering the facility.
  • Any staff member or student that presents with fever or symptoms will be excluded from the center.
  • Parents and visitors are prohibited from entering the school during operating hours.
  • Designated pick up and drop off areas for all programs.
  • UV Sterilization (UV Light) Trolleys are placed in each classroom after operating hours to control infections by stopping the spread of microorganisms.
  • School-safe disinfectant machines are used for disinfecting all classrooms 2x a day by janitorial personnel.
  • All plush, soft-bedding, and soft-surface toys are removed from each classroom.
  • All toys are disinfected after each use by Step by Step School teachers.
  • Furniture, hallways, bathroom, etc. disinfected throughout the day.
  • Gyms and bathrooms are disinfected after each use.
  • All classrooms, bathrooms, gym, common areas are disinfected and sanitized by janitorial personnel daily.
Air Circulation and HVAC.
  • Aside from Step by Step School’s HVAC system, each classroom is equipped with air purifiers (on 24/7) to allow the air to be continuously purified.
  • All classrooms are equipped with fans/vents to assist in circulating the air.
Staff/Teacher Requirements
  • All Step by Step School must submit negative COVID19 test results to be employed at SBSS.
  • COVID19 testing recommended every fourteen (14) days.
  • All staff must submit a satisfactory score of COVID19 course for employment.
  • Teachers/staff must wear cloth masks.
  • Mixing ratios (combining classrooms) is strictly prohibited.
Student/Parent Requirements
  • All children over the ages of 2 will be recommended to wear masks. Exceptions: play, meal, and rest times.
  • Hourly handwashing procedures.
  • Any child exhibiting symptoms or fever will be sent home immediately.
Action Plan
  • Designated area to isolate potentially sick children and staff.
  • Notify the local health department and office of Licensing of potential exposure/diagnosis.
  • Notify parents of potential exposure immediately.
